Got an interview with Credit One Bank.

I got an interview coming up this Wednesday morning for an entry level Web Engineering position at the company, Credit One Bank. Even though I’m more than qualified for the job, I’m excited to continue being hands on with my career. I don’t mind mentoring, but I’m not trying to be a manager or director. I want to stay on the front-lines of web development learning as much as I possibly can. If I need to adapt, I will adapt, but I’m not trying to use my experience as justification for making demands or controlling anything other than the quality of my work.

Updated my portfolio page with something completely custom.

So I spent quite some time improving my portfolio page.  It now features a 4×4 tile grid where each tile flips on hover and when clicked, brings up a modal with information about and links for that specific project. I also implemented a mobile fallback that if the page detects the orientation of the viewport is vertical it redirects to the old portfolio page which is now the projects page. I decided to exclude Project 11:11 from my most recent portfolio update since when viewing their page again, they had stripped all the back-end functionality that I had built leaving only a husk of a website, which looks great because of the designer, but does not have the management system backend that was being built. I have yet to reach out to them to see if they would like me to continue updating their website.
