Updated my portfolio page with something completely custom.

So I spent quite some time improving my portfolio page.  It now features a 4×4 tile grid where each tile flips on hover and when clicked, brings up a modal with information about and links for that specific project. I also implemented a mobile fallback that if the page detects the orientation of the viewport is vertical it redirects to the old portfolio page which is now the projects page. I decided to exclude Project 11:11 from my most recent portfolio update since when viewing their page again, they had stripped all the back-end functionality that I had built leaving only a husk of a website, which looks great because of the designer, but does not have the management system backend that was being built. I have yet to reach out to them to see if they would like me to continue updating their website.

Trying a different approach.

During this job search and with my dad’s experience so far I am going to also apply for design and development positions at some leading consulting firms. There’s a few I’m looking at and so far I’m confident that I can obtain substantial employment at a firm where I can continue building tools that improve the quality of life of everyone that uses them. My main goal isn’t just to learn and to improve but to be pragmatic and innovative enough to build solutions that solve real problems. This is the commitment I have for my career. In the meantime I’ve updated this website with content that more accurately communicates what I’m spending my time doing.
